A Word From Adam...
I might go on a little here, there is an important part about classes lower down that you would be the wiser for reading.
I started an extra morning practice standing barefoot in the garden sometime around last October I think. It has proven to be quite a boon to my life and I recommend you start now. It takes ten minutes.
I close one eye, look too far off on the horizon for 3 breaths, then to a point 10ft or so from me, then to my thumb in front of my face and then let the eye relax and see as much as it can take in (you may hear your breathing slow and deepen its rhythm at this point). Each of these four stages takes about 3 breaths time wise. Repeat this 3 times with each eye and then with both eyes. As i said, it takes ten minutes in total. Each day, as the seasons change, the practice gains in the pleasure it brings you.
This needs doing within thirty minutes of rising (whatever time you rise) and then it helps the body set its circadian rhythm. It has been very beautiful connecting with nature each day in this manner, my sight has improved in unexpected ways and my life has become slightly more enjoyable. Making ones life more enjoyable is a priceless gift. Morning practices rock, if you don't have one you need one. This is a great place to start.
If you make a cake, or anything at all, that which is in your heart when you do it shines forth from that object. Each thing creates a reflection that colours the next things we come into contact with.
Every day is an opportunity to enjoy, its where you look that gives the experience, don't you agree? Politicians dilly dally playing silly games (some of them, many of them), the Rhine has dried up somebody told me (is that true?). Times are shifting and changing at speed.
The truth that alters not is this, we must look after each other and then times and our daily experience is improved. Materially there may be some big change in our midst. What you will really experience is within your own power. By helping your neighbour, holding a door open, making a small gift, smile or the right word, giving a helping hand will give you and them much satisfaction. Go out, reach out, be guilty of reckless acts of kindness and generosity, shine bright and our futures will be pleasurable and memorable, always. Oh and don't forget to get that morning practice going. It's free gold.
